Residentials (KS2)

Year 4:

In the second part of the Autumn term, our Year 4 children go on an overnight residential to St Ives. They spend most of the first day exploring the Tate Gallery in St Ives before heading to the Cohort Youth Hostel. Here they take part in an evening of Christmas arts, crafts and games, before having a movie with popcorn and a very special visit from Father Christmas. On the second day, they have the opportunity to explore the RNLI station and the Barbara Hepworth Museum before heading back to school.

Year 5:

In the second part of the Spring term, our Year 5 children go on a 3-day residential trip to London. Throughout the trip, the children visit a range of museums, including the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. They get the chance to spot famous landmarks from a bird’s eye view on the London Eye, before being captivated by the wonders of the West End by heading to the Lyceum Theatre to watch the world-famous Lion King musical. On the final day, children get the chance to experience the world of Harry Potter, bringing their love of reading to life by spending time at the Warnor Bros Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford.

Year 6:

In the Summer Term, our Year 6 children go on a 3-day residential trip to Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre. Here they get to put their teamwork skills to the test by engaging in a variety of exciting activities including coasteering, kayaking, rock climbing, archery and high ropes.

At Falmouth Primary Academy, our personal development offer is inclusive and accessible to every child. We celebrate individuality and ensure that all pupils—regardless of background, ability, or need—have opportunities to develop their strengths, take on leadership roles, and contribute meaningfully to school life. Through this inclusive approach, every child is empowered to believe that their future is truly limitless.
