In Emerald Class we began the autumn term with a...SPLASH! We have been lucky enough to go to surf school every Thursday afternoon for this half term. We have learnt how to stay safe on the beach and how to surf. It has been a brilliant way to boost the children's confidence and embrace new challenges (all whilst having lots of fun of course!)

In D&T this week we have been learning about mechanisms. We had a design brief where we had to design a child friendly moving African animal to help Cadbury's to sell more animal biscuits! We did a brilliant job of designing and making them. We used our own innovative ideas!

A very sticky literacy lesson! We made an African snack for our instructional writing.
In science we have been learning about the skeleton!
Happy Halloween from Emerald Class!
Happy World Kindness Day and Children in Need 2020 from Emerald Class! We had a fabulous day in our fancy dress to raise money. We practised lots of random acts of kindness (that we do every day anyway)!
In maths our year twos have been recognising coins and notes. Our year threes have been learning about division and sharing amounts into equal groups.
In PE our focus sport is football. We have been building up the skills needed to play in a match. Here are some pictures of us practising dribbling.
In DT, Emerald class are making Victorian cross stitch cards. Here are some pictures of us creating our 'samplers'. This gave us a chance to learn how to thread a needle and experiment with patterns. We evaluated what went well and how we will improve when we make our final product.
Here are our final products! We are very proud of them.
